We are hiring a motivated and skilled Project Engineer to join our client who’s fire protection and safety solutions provider in Ireland. The successful candidate will oversee the design, planning, and execution of sprinkler system projects for commercial, industrial, and residential clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Project Planning and Coordination: Develop and manage project plans, schedules, and budgets to ensure timely and efficient delivery.
- Design and Technical Support: Assist in the design of sprinkler systems in compliance with relevant codes and standards. Provide technical expertise to support the project team and resolve design challenges.
- Site Supervision: Oversee project implementation on-site, ensuring adherence to safety protocols, quality standards, and project specifications.
- Stakeholder Communication: Collaborate with clients, contractors, suppliers, and internal teams to align project objectives and deliverables.
- Procurement and Resource Management: Coordinate procurement of materials and equipment. Monitor inventory and resources to maintain project timelines.
- Quality Assurance: Conduct inspections, tests, and reviews to ensure system compliance with fire safety regulations and project requirements.
- Documentation and Reporting: Prepare project reports, as-built drawings, and system documentation. Maintain accurate records of project progress and financials.
Requirements:
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Fire Protection Engineering or a related field.
- Relevant certifications in fire protection systems (preferred).
Experience:
- 3-5 years of experience in project engineering or management, preferably within the fire protection or sprinkler systems industry.
- Familiarity with Irish and international fire safety standards, such as NFPA, BS, or EN codes.
Skills:
- Strong knowledge of sprinkler system design, hydraulic calculations, and fire protection principles.
- Excellent project management skills, including scheduling, budgeting, and resource allocation.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, REVIT, or other design software.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to manage client and team relationships effectively.
- Problem-solving aptitude and the ability to make decisions under pressure.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and project management tools.
