We are proud to be supporting a national not-for-profit client to recruit a Senior HR professional on a fixed-term basis to partner with the organisation’s management team, providing a high level HR support, contributing to the smooth running of the organisation. 



  • Provide guidance and support to managers in managing discipline, grievance and dignity at work procedures, facilitating the effective implementation of the appropriate policies and procedures
  • Monitor trends in employee relations and actively work with senior managers in finding solutions appropriate to the organisation
  • Operate in a manner which ensures compliance with employment legislation, retaining appropriate documentation
  • Sharing and providing guidance to the HR team in best practice, consistent employee relations solutions and work to ensure the knowledge of the wider HR team and management team remains up to date
  • Support the implementation of and follow up of employee engagement surveys
  • Provide guidance on information and consultation where required as part of any organisational or departmental level change
  • Ensure reporting information in this area is up to date and can be used in support of the People and Culture sub-committee of the Board activity
  • Coach and support the management team in the execution of their roles
  • Support the HR Director in the development and execution of the organisation’s performance management process
  • Provide guidance and support to managers in the performance management of their teams
  • Provide guidance and support to managers in the management of the probationary process
  • Identify and source appropriate training solutions for the people of the organisation, adhering to procurement guidelines and working to the agreed training budget
  • Work with the HR Director to identify training needs and develop an organisation training plan to address these identified needs
  • Develop and deliver training to managers in the organisation in relation to people management e.g. performance management, managing probation and absence management
  • Management responsibility for the HR Business Partner, HR Advisor and HR Administrator. 
  • Oversee the day to day activities of the HR operations team and support as necessary



  • Essential – CIPD accredited qualification in HR  and ideally educated to degree level in a relevant discipline
  • Demonstrated experience in managing performance and coaching and guiding managers on same
  • Demonstrated experience in building a culture of positive employee relations and engagement
  • Must have experience of managing and advising on grievance procedures, dignity at work procedures and disciplinary procedures through to appeal stage
  • Demonstrated experience of providing high quality and appropriate training solutions both directly and via outsourced providers
  • Strong literacy and numeracy aptitude with excellent communication ability verbal and written 
  • Excellent IT skills: Word, Excel, Power point
