Job Summary:

Our client, a leading global manufacturer and distributor specializing in workwear, safety wear, and personal protective equipment (PPE), are hiring an Indirect Procurement Lead. This role will involve managing sourcing, negotiations, and supplier agreements with global third-party vendors across a range of products and services. This role focuses on securing the best pricing, value, terms, and sustainable sources through rigorous evaluation of vendor offerings, negotiations, and ongoing market research.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead high-level negotiations with national and international vendors to ensure the best pricing and quality of service.
  • Collaborate with suppliers and internal teams to maintain efficient purchasing controls, contract management, and value for money.
  • Conduct market research to identify alternative vendor options.
  • Drive cost savings and sustainable sourcing through modern strategic purchasing techniques, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation.
  • Form and guide evaluation teams and stakeholder groups in alignment with global procedures.
  • Develop procurement strategies, processes, and systems with robust governance and controls.
  • Implement audit recommendations as needed.
  • Provide regular support and updates to the Director of Procurement & Trading.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 4 years’ experience in an indirect procurement role.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, commerce, or a related field.
  • CIPS qualification preferred but not essential.
  • Strong negotiation skills and commercial acumen.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
