HR Officer

HR Officer – Cavan

Onsite (1 day WFH a week after probation)

The Human Resources Officer will oversee a range of HR responsibilities, ensuring legal compliance and providing support to both employees and management. The ideal candidate should possess exceptional communication skills, a strong grasp of HR best practices, and the ability to manage sensitive information with confidentiality.

 

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the HR inbox and respond to employee queries.
  • Support managers and HR team in their daily activities.
  • Arrange and attend welfare meetings.
  • Assist in arranging appointments with Occ Health and organising transport.
  • Handle payslip printing and distribution.
  • Attend and note take in attendance, disciplinary, and grievance meetings.
  • Answer internal and external phone calls.
  • Send letters, invites, and outcomes for various HR processes.
  • Attend employee forums and health and safety meetings if required.
  • Process reference requests and complete employee mortgage, paternity/maternity, and illness benefit forms.
  • Ensure all compliance training is up-to-date and aligned with current legislation.
  • Process invoices for training, transport, and medical appointments.
  • Support employees with transfer requests to different departments.

 

Requirements:

  • Hold a CIPD Level 3 qualification or be willing to work towards it within the first year.
  • Proven experience as an HR Officer or HR Administrator.
  • Strong understanding of HR functions and best practices.
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality.
