Lincoln are pleased to be working with a repeat customer to recruit a HR Officer on a full-time, permanent basis.Reporting to the HR Manager, this is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic HR professional to provide HR support in a variety of areas from recruitment, training, employee relations, rostering.

Full license required and own transport. The site is not accessible via public transport.

 

Main Responsibilities:

  • Responsibility for the weekly rostering and scheduling of all flexi employees (approx. 150 employees) for a 24/7 operation
  • This is a demanding yet fulfilling responsibility with operations relying on the ability of the HR Administrator to complete the daily and weekly rosters
  • Fully responsible for ensuring all production lines are manned with the relevant key skills and general operator man power requirements
  • Producing accurate and detailed daily and weekly reports reflecting the weekly schedules, linking in all relevant reports to include, absence management, key skill fulfilment, overtime analysis, labour compare and payroll adjustments
  • Acting as the main point of contact for all staff remuneration and benefit issues.
  • Administering all master payroll data contained on the TMS system and keeping it up to date including salary information and details on starters, leavers, and contract amendments.
  • Liaising with and supporting the payroll and finance Department on matters relating to the payroll.
  • Co-ordinating successful recruitment of new staff. This includes advertising new posts, screening CV’s, organising interviews, checking references, organising medicals, issuing contracts to new staff, setting up new starts on the TMS system and databases
  • Creation & updating of personnel files i.e. ensuring constant workflow on files
  • Manage the implementation of the company’s induction programme.
  • Contributing to the monitoring of new staff induction including providing support to the Managers in the probation process.
  • Providing support on a variety of Industrial Relations issues including but not limited to disciplinary issues, performance issues and general compliance with policies and procedures.
  • Ongoing administration and support of the Absence Management programme
  • Maintaining the rating system for the Performance Management Programme.
  • Drafting and issuing all HR correspondence to staff including, but not limited to, notice of increments, payroll amendments and changes to contract details.
  • Preparing ad-hoc letters for staff including but not limited to confirmation of employment for banks, landlords etc.
  • Maintaining all staff HR files in line with company policy and Data Protection requirements.
  • Ensuring all staff records (both on file and on Mitrefinch TMS) are kept up to date and accurate at all times.
  • Maintaining accurate records for all staff absence and leave such as sick leave, annual leave etc.

 

Person Specification

  • HR Qualification (Cert, Diploma, Degree) desirable & 2 years’ experience working in a busy HR Department
  • CIPD Qualifieddesirable
  • In-depth, up-to-date knowledge of employment law in Ireland
  • An energetic individual with the capacity to manage multiple activities and priorities
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to deliver a professional HR service
  • Integrity – confidentiality is paramount
