Full job description 

We are seeking a motivated and customer-focused Operations Manager to lead and develop our team. This role oversees all aspects of warehouse and transport operations, from order placement to delivery, ensuring smooth, efficient processes. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, initiative, and a customer-first mindset. 

Responsibilities include managing daily logistics, supervising the transport and warehouse teams, and ensuring seamless workflow by addressing and resolving any obstacles.

Experience: 

Logistics: 5 years (preferred) 

 

KEY POSITION ACCOUNTABILITIES 

The core function and scope of the Logistics Manager is to; 

 · Strategically plan and manage logistics, warehouse, transportation and customer service in the Transport and Warehouse Team. 

· Direct, optimize and coordinate full order cycle 

 · Keep track of quality, quantity, stock levels, delivery times, transport costs and efficiency ·Arrange and plan out warehouse, catalogue goods, plan routes and process shipments 

 · Resolve any arising problems or complaints 

 · Supervise, coach and train the team · Meet cost, productivity, accuracy and timeliness targets 

 · Maintain metrics and analyse data to assess performance and implement improvements · Comply with Health and Safety · Continuously look for improvements to operations 

 · Working proactively with various departments to realize efficiencies and manage expectations 

Experience 

 · At least 5 years of proven working experience as a logistics or Operations manager 

 · Record of successful distribution and logistics management 

 · Demonstrable ability to lead and manage staff 

 · Proficient in standard logistics software 

 · Excellent analytical, problem solving and organizational skills 

 · Ability to work independently and handle multiple projects 

 · Tertiary qualifications in Business Administration, Logistics or Supply Chain 

 · Having strong communication skills to manage the internal and external stakeholder expectations 

 · Strong leadership Skills . interpersonal and organizational skills 

 · Good personal presentation 

 · Ability to make Decisions under pressure  

· Good commercial and business understanding 

 · Working knowledge of ERP: · Licensed to drive · Experienced in working in a multicultural environment · Familiar with Workplace Safety and Environmental factors
