Health & Safety Officer

Key Responsibilities:
- Compile Method Statements, Risk Assessments, and carry out Audits.
- Coordinate and deliver EHS-related training, inductions, and staff upskilling.
- Update site inductions regularly to reflect evolving site conditions.
- Maintain and update Environmental Health & Safety plans and risk assessments.
- Support the management of ISO 9001, 14001 & 45001 accredited systems.
- Attend daily site meetings and address safety-related concerns as required.
- Conduct accident investigations and produce incident reports (near misses, first aid cases, etc.).
- Support the maintenance and development of Environmental, Health & Safety management systems.
- Communicate effectively across all levels of the company regarding EHS matters.
- Represent the company in dealings with regulatory bodies.
- Conduct risk assessments and hazard identification.
- Hold toolbox talks to communicate EHS requirements and learnings.
- Audit, control, and manage subcontractor H&S documentation and insurance policies.
Requirements:
- 3rd level qualification in Health & Safety or a related discipline.
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a similar role within the construction or engineering industry.
- Strong ability to work on own initiative and innovate when required.
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to meet deadlines.
- Strong communication and organisational skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
- Full driving license preferred.
