Official Launch of the Lincoln Recruitment Irish Early Career Awards 2024

On Tuesday evening July 16th, the Lincoln Recruitment Irish Early Career Awards were officially launched at The Church Café Bar. The evening brought together nominators, nominees, judges and sponsors in a memorable gathering.

Minister Neale Richmond TD delivered an inspiring speech, underscoring the government’s commitment to fostering a supportive environment for Ireland’s early career professionals. He commended the nominees for their hard work, dedication and contributions to the nation’s economic growth and to their nominators for recognising and celebrating the achievements of their colleagues.

The zero alcohol evening was held in The Church Cafe’s atmospheric Cellar Bar where guests were welcomed with a house special mocktail and an opening speech by Gail Finegan, Group Head of Marketing at Lincoln Recruitment. Gail thanked nominators, nominees, judges and sponsors for attending before introducing Bernadette Nulty, VP of Financial Services at IDA Ireland and Judge of the Financial Services Category to the stage.

Bernadette shared her perspectives on the importance of supporting emerging professionals in Ireland adding that “all nominees here exemplify the qualities that are in high demand from international investors and corporations seeking to determine their next strategic investment locations. These are the qualities that attract investments, drive economic development and create opportunities for all.”

Donal Whelan, MD of Lincoln Recruitment followed on from Bernadette giving the background to the awards. Shay Dalton, Lincoln’s owner and founder had been looking for an award to sponsor in 2015. On reasearching which award to align the business with Shay became aware that whilst there were many awards for professionals in the advanced stages of their careers, there were no awards for those in the early stages. Shay and the wider Lincoln team wanted to “acknowledge and recognise these early years professionals and also the people who made this success possible be that mentors, learning and development teams, managers or family. Behind every success is the steady hand of encouragement and guidance.”

So it was decided to launch our own awards which have been running every year ever since. The Lincoln Recruitment Irish Early Career Awards are now the largest awards celebrating early careers in the country. This year they will celebrate exceptional professionals and organisations across 13 different categories at the awards night on September 24th in the Royal Irish Academy of Music.

The evening was closed by Aoife Raftery of Sia Partners who invited guests to a breakfast breakout session to celebrate the lead up to the Early Career Awards. This session will be held in The Church Cafe, Jervis Street on Tuesday July 30th from 8:30 to 10am and will cover the art of networking. The event will be led by Kingsley Aikins, CEO of The Networking Institute.
