Site Manager – Dublin

Our client who’s main building contractor with over 25 years of successful operations in Dublin, is looking for a Site Manager. Their portfolio includes high-end residential projects with a strong reputation for completing developments to the highest standards.

The Role

You will oversee the management and supervision of new build or refurbishment of one-off high-end domestic projects from start to successful completion and handover. Your leadership will be essential to ensure projects are delivered on time, within specification and budget, while maintaining the highest safety, environmental, and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and supervise day-to-day site activities, including coordination of facilities, services, and neighbor relations.
  • Deliver projects on time, within budget, and to required quality standards.
  • Ensure compliance with project operations, industry standards, building regulations, BCAR inspections, safety, and environmental protocols.
  • Oversee main contractor staff, subcontractors, and service providers; manage performance, training, and quality adherence.
  • Implement and communicate regular programmes, issuing details to subcontractors.
  • Coordinate site progress with the Contracts Manager and Quantity Surveyor to resolve issues and maintain positive stakeholder relationships.
  • Conduct regular site inspections to anticipate needs, identify hazards, and suggest improvements.
  • Manage on-site activity to ensure just-in-time delivery aligning with procurement schedules, ensuring value for money.
  • Coordinate fortnightly look-ahead meetings aligned with the overall project programme.
  • Maintain highest standards of Health & Safety management and compliance.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Construction qualification (not essential) or trade qualification required.
  • Proven experience as a Site Manager on domestic residential projects.
  • Strong knowledge of building regulations, BCAR, and H&S legislation.
  • Good IT skills including MS Office and Excel; willingness to learn site management software and reporting tools.
  • MS Project experience is advantageous but not essential.
  • Experience with setting out and inspecting construction elements.
  • Demonstrated leadership ability to motivate and manage teams and subcontractors effectively.
  • Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
  • Fluent English communication skills, both verbal and written.

  • Competitive salary €60,000 – €70,000 (depending on experience)
