Site Manager

We’re looking for an experienced Site Manager to join a leading construction company based in Cork, Ireland, with over 20 years of experience in delivering high-quality building projects across various sectors.

In this role, you will be overseeing site operations, ensuring that all tasks are executed efficiently, on time, and within budget. If you have a strong background in construction management, excellent leadership skills, and are attentive to detail, we would love to hear from you!

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and coordinate on-site operations from project initiation through to completion, ensuring all project milestones and timelines are achieved.
  • Promote and enforce a strong safety culture by implementing company HSE policies and ensuring compliance with statutory safety regulations and environmental standards.
  • Plan, organise, and allocate site personnel and other resources to guarantee efficient workflow and timely execution of tasks.
  • Assess project requirements and coordinate the procurement of tools, labour, and materials in line with programme needs.
  • Oversee and monitor quality assurance processes across all phases of the build, ensuring that project records and documentation are accurately maintained.
  • Ensure timely ordering and delivery of construction materials and equipment in alignment with the project schedule.
  • Liaise effectively with subcontractors, design teams, engineers, and internal stakeholders to drive progress and resolve site issues promptly.

Requirements;

  • Minimum of 5 years’ proven experience in a Site Management role within the construction industry
  • Strong ability to interpret and work from technical drawings, plans, and specifications provided by the design team
  • Demonstrated organisational skills, with the capability to delegate tasks effectively and oversee groundworks crews efficiently
  • Solid understanding of health & safety legislation, with hands-on experience ensuring compliance on active construction sites
  • Proven ability to implement and maintain robust quality control measures across all stages of construction
  • Hands-on experience managing services installation in line with Irish Water standard details and liaising with Irish Water field engineers
  • Highly organised, with a strong track record of delivering work in accordance with detailed construction programmes and schedules
  • Effective communicator with the ability to clearly assign tasks and drive high-quality performance from site teams
  • Well-versed in modern construction methods, materials, and on-site processes
