Site Engineer

As a Site Engineer, you will be integral to the successful delivery of a prestigious project, working within a well-established team. This role offers an excellent opportunity to develop your career with a BIM-enabled contractor known for its commitment to innovation and excellence in construction.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the Site Manager and Project Manager with daily on-site operations.
- Liaise with the design team to address construction issues, managing RFI and submittal processes.
- Ensure effective control and flow of all technical information required for the project.
- Implement, monitor, and control health and safety standards on-site, including conducting site inductions.
- Manage subcontractors and the general workforce on-site.
- Issue requisitions for materials and plant to the purchasing department.
- Maintain the site diary and daily log of activities.
- Monitor and control quality and work standards on-site.
- Manage BCAR processes, including inspection closures, ancillary certificates, and material certifications.
- Oversee concrete quality, including taking cubes and slump tests, and recording results.
- Perform setting out of lines and levels as required.
Requirements:
- Diploma or Degree in Structural/Civil Engineering or Construction Management.
- Minimum of 4 years’ experience, preferably with a main Irish contractor.
- Strong experience in setting out and levels, including proficiency with Total Station, Dumpy level, and Laser level.
- Experience with services is an advantage.
- Experience with precast concrete frames and steel roof frames.
- Proficient in the use of CAD software.
- Experience in commercial, industrial, and fit-out building projects.
- Punctual, motivated, team player with strong communication skills.
