Shift Electrical Engineering Craft Technician – EUR 24.49 an hour DOE + 33.3%

Our client is a food production company, that is recruiting for a number of electrical engineering shift vacancies. They are planning for a 30% growth strategy, which means great opportunities for the right candidates!

 

There is a 4-cycle continental shift pattern with shifts alternating between 6am-6pm and 6pm-6am alternating between days and nights:

Week 1- Working Monday, Tuesday. Off Wednesday and Thursday and Working Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

Week 2- Off Monday and Tuesday, Working Wednesday and Thursday and Off Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

This position is Shift based and candidates must be willing to and contract to work the Shift patterns as set out by the Company in line with Business needs.

 

Overview:

Reporting to the Engineering Shift Supervisor, the Craft Technician – electrical will play a key role in the maintenance and improvement of the Plant to achieve the objectives of World Class OEE and Maintenance Availability / Performance. Day to day you will embrace our 4P’s Culture and be a key player in the success of our ‘Plan to Win’.

 

Key Responsibilities:

Undertake preventive maintenance, troubleshooting and repair of all Production Machinery and Plant Services i.e. PLC (Siemens/Allen Bradley), Electrical Cabinets, Electrical Containment, Sensors, Knowledge of testing equipment, De-bugging and systems development, Programming, Steam, Air, Water etc.

Qualifications needed:

Candidates should be qualified to Senior Trades level, or comparable European NFQ qualifications, and / or NCEA Cert. / Diploma in an Electro-Mechanical discipline. FETAC Level 6 Accreditation or equivalent but not limited to Solas apprenticeship, City & Guilds apprenticeship or higher.
