Senior Production Manager
We’re looking for a Senior Production Manager to join a leading medical device manufacturer with a state-of-the-art facility known for its advanced electronics and automation capabilities. Ideal candidate will have extensive experience in managing high-volume production in regulated environments and is a natural leader who can inspire and guide a team while overseeing full production lifecycles. Excellent communication skills and a track record of driving operational excellence are essential.
Objectives:
- Ensure products are manufactured cost-effectively, with high quality and customer satisfaction, adhering to schedules.
- Drive improvements in quality, output, and cost across all processes in the Fermoy Plant.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage production staff, including Production Leads and Team Leaders, following world-class medical manufacturing practices.
- Oversee production planning, product layout, and staffing to meet performance standards in a high-volume, 24/7 operation.
- Set performance standards and monitor them, ensuring adherence to schedules and cost-effectiveness.
- Provide leadership, interpret company policies, and drive employee morale while managing absenteeism and attrition.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations, and maintain high standards in training and quality.
- Conduct regular employee appraisals and manage performance, driving continuous improvement in manufacturing practices.
Requirements:
- 7+ years’ experience in the management of large number of personnel in a multi-shift structure, preferably in a world class medical manufacturing environment
- Third Level Qualification is desired ( Business / Technical )
- 5+ years in identifying & delivering Process Improvements utilising LSS methodologies.
- Excellent communication skills, interpersonal skills
- Excellent Leadership skills
- 5 + years experience in MRP / Production Planning ( IPICS )
- 5+ years experience in MES / Data Analysis.
- Proficient in Office Tools.
