Senior Estimator – Utilities & Civil Engineering
Location: Tuam, Galway
We’re recruiting a Senior Estimator to join a well-established and fast-growing construction and utilities contractor delivering infrastructure projects across Ireland.
This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious Estimator with 3–5+ years of post-graduate experience to play a key role in high-profile infrastructure and utilities projects. You’ll be joining a progressive team that values innovation, performance, and a long-term vision for growth.
Your Responsibilities Will Include:
- Preparing accurate and competitive tender submissions for civil and utilities projects
- Reviewing drawings and specifications, and tracking changes during the tender or construction process
- Proactively submitting variations for approval before additional works are carried out
- Measuring and valuing completed work for interim valuations and final accounts
- Sourcing subcontractor and supplier quotations and negotiating rates
- Identifying and procuring construction materials as required
- Liaising closely with site teams and maintaining strong communication across departments
What We’re Looking For:
- Minimum 3–5 years of post-grad experience in estimating or quantity surveying, ideally with a contractor
- Proven track record working on civil, infrastructure or utilities projects (utilities experience a strong advantage)
- Strong attention to detail, organisational skills, and commercial acumen
- Excellent communication and negotiation abilities
- Motivated, adaptable, and eager to grow within a supportive, forward-thinking team
