Our client is a successful flue system design, manufacture and installation business operating domestically and internationally. Due to the continued growth of its Data Centre business it wishes to hire a Senior Mechanical Engineer to head up and manage its design team.
Working closely with the manufacturing and installation teams the successful candidate will help tender, design and install flue systems in a range of industrial and commercial projects throughout Ireland and on the continent.
The successful candidate will have a good knowledge of steelwork fabrication, be comfortable with a range of design tools and packages such as CAD and Revit and have experience of working both on site and as a member of multi-disciplinary teams.
Successful candidates are likely to have the following attributes, skills and experience,
- Relevant third level mechanical /engineering qualification, together with appropriate CPD.
- A minimum of 5-7 years’ post qualification experience.
- Management experience with small teams and in a multi-disciplinary environment.
- Detailed Knowledge and experience of a contracting environment.
- Ability and experience of working both individually and as part of a multi-functional team.
- Experience and skills in AutoCAD 2D and 3D packages (Revit, Navisworks).
- Comfort and familiarity with a range of different IT packages.
- Organisational and planning capabilities to ensure that programme targets and timetables are met.
- Experience working with multi-disciplinary design and site installation teams.
- Knowledge and familiarity with highest Health and Safety standards and protocols.
- Excellent communication and organisation skills.
