Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Senior Data Analyst to join a high-performing Strategic Data and Analytics team. This role is responsible for the development of insightful metrics, robust data models, and intelligent reporting frameworks that support Treasury functions. The successful candidate will create impactful data visualisations, monitor key performance indicators (KPIs), build tailored reporting solutions, and lead automation initiatives to enhance efficiency across reporting and analysis processes.


Key Responsibilities

  • Design and enhance data models, improve data quality, and develop frameworks for data enrichment and reporting.

  • Develop compelling visualisations to highlight anomalies and support decision-making through clear presentation of complex data.

  • Track and analyse key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess the performance of Treasury-related functions and identify areas for optimisation.

  • Deliver bespoke reporting solutions for funding administration and other Treasury needs, including requirements gathering, scoping, development, testing, and rollout.

  • Maintain a suite of standard and customised reports for both internal and external stakeholders, ensuring alignment with organisational reporting principles.

  • Identify opportunities for process improvement through automation and implement best practices to increase productivity and stakeholder satisfaction.

  • Maintain comprehensive documentation of data methodologies, processes, and tools to support clarity, consistency, and training needs.

  • Balance short-term analytical tasks with the long-term evolution of scalable data architecture.


Key Stakeholder Engagement

  • Collaborate with teams across functions such as Finance, IT, Commercial, Tax, Treasury, and Operations to identify reliable data sources and recommend secure, efficient access methods.

  • Work closely with data owners to address quality issues and track improvements through ongoing communication.

  • Identify and reduce data redundancy, promoting the use of accurate and consistent data sources across the organisation.

  • Engage with internal technical teams to ensure timely execution of data models, dashboards, and reporting strategies.


Qualifications and Experience

Essential Requirements

  • Degree or post-secondary diploma in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, or a related field.

  • 6-10 years of experience in data analysis, reporting, or business intelligence roles.

  • Advanced proficiency in Alteryx or a comparable data preparation tool.

  • Strong coding experience using Python, R, SQL, Power Query, and DAX.

  • Proficient in working with Snowflake and relational databases.

  • Excellent command of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.

Desirable Attributes

  • Expertise in data visualisation platforms, particularly Power BI.

  • Familiarity with AI and machine learning techniques for enhanced data modelling and forecasting.

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact confidently at all levels.

  • Self-motivated and adaptable, with a focus on accuracy, delivery, and continuous improvement in a fast-paced environment.
