Quality Manager – Roofing & Cladding

An established roofing and cladding contractor, known for delivering complex commercial and public sector projects, is looking for a solutions-focused Quality Manager to lead their quality systems and assurance processes across all operations. This is an opportunity to join a company at the forefront of its sector, where quality is more than a checklist — it’s a mindset.

About the Role

This is a hands-on, site-connected, and strategically important role. You’ll work closely with Contracts Managers, Project Managers, Site Teams, and Clients to ensure consistent delivery to the highest technical and compliance standards.

As Quality Manager, you’ll take the lead in developing and managing both project-specific and company-wide QA/QC systems — ensuring full compliance with internal standards, project requirements, and industry regulations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the development and implementation of project-specific QA/QC plans, including ITPs and inspection checklists
  • Manage the company-wide quality management system in line with ISO 9001:2015 and industry best practices
  • Conduct regular site quality audits and inspections across roofing and cladding projects
  • Coordinate with Contracts and Project Managers to ensure correct materials, methods, and documentation are in place
  • Work with site teams and subcontractors to embed a right-first-time culture
  • Review and approve project documentation such as method statements, inspection forms, test certificates, and close-out packages
  • Support pre-qualification and tender submissions with quality documentation
  • Interface with clients, design teams, and main contractors on quality-related matters
  • Deliver training and guidance on quality processes and drive continuous improvement initiatives

What We’re Looking For

  • 5+ years’ experience in a Quality Manager or Site QA/QC role within construction
  • Roofing and cladding systems experience strongly preferred
  • Strong understanding of QA/QC processes, building regulations, and ISO 9001
  • Experience on public sector and/or data centre projects is an advantage
  • Excellent documentation, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently across multiple live projects
  • Proficient with MS Office and QA tools (e.g., SnagR, Procore, Field View)
  • Full clean driving licence required

What You’ll Get

  • Competitive salary (commensurate with experience)
  • Performance-based bonus
  • Car allowance + fuel card
  • Employer pension contribution
  • Life assurance
  • Company phone and IT equipment
  • Autonomy and influence across high-value, high-visibility projects
  • A dynamic company with a reputation for technical excellence and delivery
