A leading Trading/Brokerage company operating in the primary and secondary protein sector is seeking to fill the role of Quality Assurance Co-Ordinator. The company trades internationally, primarily in pork, beef, lamb, poultry, and fish products, serving the Processing and Food Service sectors.

Nature of Work:
Reporting primarily to the Quality Manager, responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Ensuring adherence to a robust Quality Assurance program based on internationally recognized standards.
- Maintaining and improving quality standards to meet annual audit and certification criteria.
- Developing a clear understanding of company processes and transactions to identify improvements and efficiencies.
- Traveling to both suppliers and clients as necessary.
- Producing weekly, monthly, and quarterly Quality reports.
- Completing customer paperwork requests.
- Managing supplier approvals in accordance with quality procedures.
- Investigating customer complaints in a timely manner.
- Managing product specifications.
- Conducting quality and process checks of trade contracts.
- Performing regular internal audits of the Quality and ERP System.
- Assisting in the development and maintenance of Quality Documentation and SOPs.
- Conducting training sessions to educate employees on quality standards, processes, and best practices.
- Championing a culture of quality and continuous improvement within the company.
- Taking a hands-on approach to employment responsibilities.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Candidates with experience and/or a relevant third-level qualification.
- A working knowledge of BRC standards, HACCP, and Food Legislation is an advantage.
- Mentoring and suitable training will be provided to assist in the role.
