Job Overview

The Procurement Manager will be responsible for overseeing the procurement of materials, equipment, and services to support the company’s construction projects. The role requires a strategic thinker with strong negotiation skills and experience in managing supplier relationships to ensure cost-effectiveness, quality, and timely delivery of goods.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement procurement strategies to optimize costs, efficiency, and quality.
  • Identify, evaluate, and negotiate with suppliers to secure the best terms.
  • Manage and maintain relationships with key suppliers and subcontractors.
  • Ensure all purchasing activities comply with company policies and industry regulations.
  • Collaborate with project managers and site teams to understand material requirements.
  • Monitor market trends, price fluctuations, and supply chain risks to mitigate potential disruptions.
  • Oversee inventory levels and work with logistics teams to ensure timely delivery.
  • Prepare and analyse reports on procurement activities, supplier performance, and cost savings.

Key Requirements

  • Proven experience in procurement, purchasing, or supply chain management within the construction industry.
  • Strong negotiation, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent knowledge of construction materials, suppliers, and market trends.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines.
  • Proficiency in procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Degree in Procurement, Supply Chain Management, Business, or a related field.
  • Professional certification (e.g., CIPS) is an advantage.
