Procurement Administrator

We are looking for Procurement Administrator to join our client who is a leading service provider to the transport industry in Ireland for over 40 years. The organisation specialises in maintenance of HGV articulated trailers, repair of refrigerated bodies, RSA CVR Testing and spare parts supply for these vehicles. A long-established and leading service provider to the transport industry in Ireland is seeking a Procurement Administrator to join its spares division. The successful candidate will support both the spare parts division and the main service business. This is a key position that bridges the gap between internal departments and external suppliers.

The primary responsibility will be to ensure timely and cost-effective sourcing, purchasing, and delivery of stock and one-off spare parts. Effective communication and strong supplier relationship management are vital for success in this role.

   Key Responsibilities

  • Proactive purchasing and restocking of existing inventory lines
  • Sourcing one-off spare parts as requested by departments, ensuring competitive pricing
  • Communicating with suppliers and freight forwarders to manage delivery timelines
  • Coordinating with internal departments to provide updates on order status
  • Obtaining and comparing supplier quotations
  • Monitoring and managing stock levels in collaboration with warehouse staff
  • Identifying non-moving stock items and initiating stock cleanses or returns
  • Analysing price variance and contributing to cost-saving strategies

   Experience & Education

  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in procurement, purchasing, or supply chain management
  • NFQ Level 8 qualification in Business Studies or related field
