Our client is looking for an Operations Manager for their welding distribution company.
As the Operation Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all areas of our company, including buying, sales, warehouse, and service.
They are looking for someone with a minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a similar role within a distributor, preferably in the welding industry.
The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the market trends and dynamics, as well as a proven track record of successfully managing and growing a distribution business.
Key Responsibilities:
– Develop and implement strategies to improve operational efficiency and effectiveness.
– Oversee and manage all aspects of the supply chain, including purchasing, inventory management, and logistics.
– Lead and manage the sales team to achieve sales targets and increase market share.
– Ensure the highest level of customer satisfaction through efficient and timely delivery of products and services.
– Oversee the day-to-day operations of the warehouse, including inventory control and order fulfillment.
– Develop and maintain relationships with key suppliers and negotiate favorable terms and pricing.
– Monitor and analyse market trends and competitor activities to identify opportunities for growth and improvement.
– Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards.
– Manage and develop a team of employees, providing coaching, training, and performance evaluations.
Qualifications:
– Bachelor’s degree in management, or a related field.
– Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a similar role within a wholesale / distributor of similar goods.
– Strong understanding of supply chain management, inventory control, and logistics.
– Proven track record of successfully managing and growing a distribution business.
– Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
– Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
– Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other relevant software.
– Knowledge of welding products and industry trends is preferred.
