New Product Development (NPD) Project Specialist – 12 month FTC
About the Role
We’re seeking a motivated NPD Project Specialist to join a fast-paced, innovation-driven food production team. You’ll lead exciting new product and packaging development projects — from concept to launch — ensuring all products meet quality, legal, and customer standards. This role offers the chance to work closely with top Irish retailers and drive forward innovation that reaches shelves nationwide.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end NPD and EPD projects across food products and packaging
- Coordinate factory and packaging trials, ensuring feasibility and compliance
- Work cross-functionally with teams in Quality, Procurement, and Production
- Present concepts and trial results to internal teams and retail customers
- Support training and documentation for new product introductions
- Stay informed on food legislation and sustainable packaging trends
What You’ll Bring
- 2–3 years’ experience in food NPD, ideally with Irish retailers
- Degree in Food Science or related field
- Strong project management, communication, and teamwork skills
- Knowledge of sustainable packaging is a plus
- Proficiency in MS Office; ERP experience a bonus
