Project Engineer – Industrial Flue Systems
A well-established Irish company, with over 30 years of expertise in the design, manufacture, and installation of commercial and industrial flue systems, is now looking to hire a Project Engineer to join their growing team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a mechanically-minded engineering professional to build their career in a fast-paced, hands-on environment delivering complex and bespoke flue solutions for industrial plants, data centres, and commercial sites across Ireland and Europe.
The Role:
As a Project Engineer, you will support the project delivery process from tendering through to on-site installation, working closely with the design, manufacturing, and installation teams. This is a varied and rewarding role offering exposure to multiple project phases and engineering disciplines.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in managing projects through design, fabrication, and installation stages
- Interpret technical drawings and provide input for manufacturing and site installation
- Support tendering, and preparation of project quotations
- Liaise with subcontractors and attend site meetings to monitor progress
- Coordinate logistics and ensure pre-installation preparations are in place
- Work closely with senior engineers and project managers to ensure deadlines and quality standards are met
Candidate Requirements:
- A degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline
- 1–3 years’ post-qualification experience, ideally with mechanical, M&E, or general contractors
- Strong technical knowledge, especially in relation to steel fabrication and mechanical installations
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
- Proactive, organised, and eager to learn within a team-focused environment
