Managment Accountant

About the Role:

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Accountant to join our Management Accounting team. This department delivers outsourced financial management solutions to a diverse client base across multiple industries. The position offers a fantastic opportunity for career growth within a leading Chartered Accountancy firm in the Southeast and is based in Co. Kilkenny.

Who We’re Looking For:

The ideal candidate will be ACCA/ACA qualified/part-qualified and have at least two years of experience in a practice or finance environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Ensuring the accurate completion of client bookkeeping to facilitate timely preparation of monthly accounts.

• Overseeing VAT returns, RCT, and PSWT submissions as required.

• Conducting account reconciliations and analysis up to trial balance.

• Preparing monthly and quarterly management reports.

• Assisting with month-end and year-end processes, including audit preparation.

• Managing multiple client accounts, ensuring key deadlines and deliverables are met.

• Providing clients with financial insights and recommendations.

• Supporting and mentoring junior team members.

Skills & Requirements:

• Strong proficiency in Excel.

• Experience with Sage, Xero, Dext, or AutoEntry is an advantage.

• Excellent attention to detail and solid technical knowledge.

• Commercial awareness and a passion for helping businesses grow.

• Strong problem-solving, communication, and innovation skills.

• Eagerness to learn and develop professionally.

• A team player who is self-motivated and capable of working independently in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
