Purpose of the Job:

As a Line Lead, you will play a critical role in ensuring production lines are efficiently prepared and managed to meet production targets. You will work closely with a team to uphold stringent quality and Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure the production line is set up and ready for each run according to the planned schedule.
  • Verify that all packaging lines have the correct work-in-progress (WIP) materials.
  • Conduct necessary line checks as required by the Batch Manufacturing Record (BMR).
  • Manage batch paper calculations (yield) and quality signoffs.
  • Meet daily output targets while maintaining compliance with all quality and EHS standards.
  • Optimize resource allocation and manage breaks to maximize efficiency.
  • Perform reconciliation tasks before transferring products to the warehouse.
  • Provide training for the line team and ensure training records are up to date.
  • Actively monitor and resolve quality issues.
  • Maintain cleaning records and report any deviations.
  • Report on production status, key performance indicators (KPIs), and issues to senior management.
  • Learn and implement Lean/5S methodologies and lead improvement projects.
  • Gather and present relevant information for production meetings.

Performance Measures:

  • Achieve agreed production targets.
  • Maintain the production plan and communicate any changes effectively.
  • Minimize clear-downs and changeovers.
  • Maximize resource utilization during normal working hours.
