Laboratory Manager

Our client is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Medical Laboratory Manager to oversee the daily operations of their Medical Testing Laboratory in Dublin. This role involves managing a dedicated team of professionals, ensuring the laboratory maintains the highest standards of quality control, and ensuring full compliance with industry regulations. Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee the day-to-day operations of the medical laboratory, ensuring efficient and accurate testing processes.
• Manage laboratory staff, including recruitment, training, and performance evaluations.
• Implement and monitor quality control protocols, ensuring adherence to regulatory standards and guidelines.
• Ensure the laboratory is fully compliant with health and safety regulations, and industry best practices.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals, providing support and advice as needed.
• Develop and implement operational procedures to improve laboratory efficiency.
• Manage laboratory resources, including inventory and equipment maintenance.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Medical Laboratory Science or a related field.
• A minimum of 3 years of experience in a supervisory or management role within a clinical laboratory setting.
• Strong knowledge of laboratory operations, quality assurance, and regulatory requirements.
• CORU registration is required.
• Professional certification such as ASCP or AMT is advantageous.
• Proficiency in relevant laboratory information systems and technology.
• Exceptional communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
• Ability to manage priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
