Are you an experienced HGV Mechanic seeking a new opportunity with a well-established, fast-paced logistics operation in Co. Cavan? We’re recruiting for a skilled individual to take on a hands-on, vital role within a busy transport and maintenance team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Carry out maintenance, diagnostics, and repair work on a mixed fleet of trucks and trailers, including CVRT preparation.
- Diagnose faults using appropriate diagnostic equipment and repair issues efficiently and to a high standard.
- Respond to driver reports and complete inspections on routine and non-routine vehicle defects.
- Collaborate with the transport team to ensure vehicle availability for scheduled collections and deliveries.
- Adhere to Health, Safety, and Environmental policies and regulations, including RSA guidelines.
- Provide technical support and mentoring to apprentices and junior mechanics.
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment, complying with internal and external safety standards.
Candidate Profile:
- Fully qualified HGV Mechanic (or time-served technician).
- Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
- Meticulous attention to detail with a commitment to high-quality workmanship.
- Able to work both independently and as part of a team.
