Group Financial Accountant – Kildare

Hybrid – very flexible hybrid, 1 day per week in office

About the Role:

As a Statutory Accountant, you will be an integral part of the finance team, responsible for a variety of financial reporting functions. Your role will involve preparing accurate and timely statutory financial statements, coordinating the Annual Report process, and overseeing the statutory accounts for multiple subsidiaries and joint ventures. You will also take the lead on managing external audits and play a critical role in ensuring the company’s financial reporting adheres to IFRS, FRS 101, and FRS 102 standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and manage statutory financial statements in accordance with IFRS and relevant company law.
  • Lead the year-end audit process, acting as the main point of contact with external auditors.
  • Collaborate with the ESG team on the implementation of CSRD reporting for the Annual Report.
  • Ensure compliance with statutory requirements for all financial statements across subsidiaries.
  • Work closely with internal departments to ensure accurate reporting and implement best practices.
  • Stay updated on accounting standards, ensuring compliance with any new regulations.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and ensure robust financial controls.
  • Conduct detailed financial analysis to support senior management decision-making.

Qualifications required for this role:

  • ACA /ACCA /CPA or other relevant qualification (Big 4/Top 10 experience is preferred).
  • Strong technical knowledge of IFRS, FRS 101, and FRS 102.
  • Experience with audit management and statutory reporting.
