Graduate Engineer – Utilities

We’re hiring a Graduate Engineer to join our client who is a one of Ireland’s leading civil and engineering companies. They deliver large-scale infrastructure projects all over the country and have been growing massively.

This role provides an excellent opportunity for a recent engineering graduate to gain hands-on experience in a fast-paced environment, working on diverse utility and civil engineering projects, with a particular focus on water infrastructure. The successful candidate will be involved in project planning, site supervision, quality control, and health & safety compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the planning, design, and execution of utility infrastructure projects, particularly in the water sector.
  • Support senior engineers and project managers in day-to-day operations.
  • Conduct site inspections and surveys to ensure work is completed to specification.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, environmental, and quality standards.
  • Assist in the preparation of technical reports, documentation, and project updates.
  • Liaise with clients, subcontractors, and other stakeholders as required.
  • Monitor project progress and contribute to problem-solving on-site.
  • Support the development and implementation of innovative engineering solutions.

Requirements:

  • A degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience or academic background in water infrastructure projects is highly desirable.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and engineering software (e.g., AutoCAD).
  • A proactive and results-driven attitude.
  • Full driving license is desirable.
