The Financial Controller role is a key leadership position, reporting directly to the Managing Director and sitting on the senior management team.
You’ll oversee Finance, IT, Customs, and Administration, contributing to strategic planning while ensuring the smooth running of day-to-day operations.
This role will appeal to someone who is eager to step into a more senior position and take full ownership of the Accounts function.
What will the role involve?
- Lead all finance and accounting operations, ensuring timely reporting and accurate monthly management accounts.
- Develop and manage budgets, forecasts, and cash flow planning across all departments.
- Oversee Treasury, banking relationships, and financial controls.
- Supervise Accounts Receivable and Payable, ensuring timely reconciliations and strong internal processes.
- Manage VAT, payroll, and statutory returns for both Ireland and the UK.
- Support grant applications and maintain strong relationships with external stakeholders (e.g., Enterprise Ireland).
- Oversee IT operations and systems, ensuring effective integration and functionality.
- Contribute to strategic growth planning, reviewing expansion opportunities and CAPEX projects from a financial perspective.
Is this you?
- Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or CPA) with relevant post qualification experience, ideally in a manufacturing or FMCG company.
- Technically strong with experience in budgeting, forecasting, and strategic planning.
