Job Title: Finance Executive

Salary: 35K – 38K

Job Purpose:

The Finance Executive will oversee daily financial operations and accounting functions, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely reporting. This role requires a proactive, detail-oriented individual with experience in financial administration and a strong understanding of accounting processes.


Key Responsibilities:

Accounts Payable & Receivable:

  • Process and manage incoming and outgoing invoices.
  • Reconcile accounts and ensure timely payments to suppliers.
  • Prepare and monitor customer invoices, ensuring accuracy.

Financial Reporting:

  • Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
  • Support the finance team in preparing budgets and forecasts.
  • Assist with the maintenance of the general ledger, ensuring the accuracy of all financial data.

Bank & Cash Management:

  • Reconcile bank accounts and process cash transactions.
  • Maintain accurate records of all financial transactions and expenditures.

Payroll:

  • Manage and process employee payroll, and maintain accurate employee records.

Tax & Compliance:

  • Assist with VAT returns and other statutory filings.
  • Ensure compliance with internal controls and company policies.

Inventory & Costing:

  • Support the monitoring of inventory levels and cost analysis related to manufacturing operations.
  • Assist with stock takes and reconciliations.

General Administration:

  • Maintain and update financial records and databases.
  • Provide support for audits and assist in gathering necessary documents.
  • Respond to financial queries from internal departments.
  • Perform ad-hoc administrative tasks as required.

Qualifications & Skills:

Education & Experience:

  • 1-2 years’ experience in a finance or accounting role, ideally in a manufacturing or production environment.
  • Minimum Accounting Technician qualification or equivalent.

Technical Skills:

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (advanced level) and accounting software (e.g., Sage, QuickBooks, or similar).
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial regulations, and tax requirements.

Personal Attributes:

  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Strong organisational and time-management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Effective communication skills, with the ability to liaise with internal and external stakeholders.

Desirable:

  • Experience in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
  • Knowledge of costing and inventory management.
