Job Title: Finance Executive

Job Purpose:
The Finance Executive will oversee daily financial operations and accounting functions, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely reporting. This role requires a proactive, detail-oriented individual with experience in financial administration and a strong understanding of accounting processes.
Key Responsibilities:
Accounts Payable & Receivable:
- Process and manage incoming and outgoing invoices.
- Reconcile accounts and ensure timely payments to suppliers.
- Prepare and monitor customer invoices, ensuring accuracy.
Financial Reporting:
- Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
- Support the finance team in preparing budgets and forecasts.
- Assist with the maintenance of the general ledger, ensuring the accuracy of all financial data.
Bank & Cash Management:
- Reconcile bank accounts and process cash transactions.
- Maintain accurate records of all financial transactions and expenditures.
Payroll:
- Manage and process employee payroll, and maintain accurate employee records.
Tax & Compliance:
- Assist with VAT returns and other statutory filings.
- Ensure compliance with internal controls and company policies.
Inventory & Costing:
- Support the monitoring of inventory levels and cost analysis related to manufacturing operations.
- Assist with stock takes and reconciliations.
General Administration:
- Maintain and update financial records and databases.
- Provide support for audits and assist in gathering necessary documents.
- Respond to financial queries from internal departments.
- Perform ad-hoc administrative tasks as required.
Qualifications & Skills:
Education & Experience:
- 1-2 years’ experience in a finance or accounting role, ideally in a manufacturing or production environment.
- Minimum Accounting Technician qualification or equivalent.
Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (advanced level) and accounting software (e.g., Sage, QuickBooks, or similar).
- Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial regulations, and tax requirements.
Personal Attributes:
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong organisational and time-management skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Effective communication skills, with the ability to liaise with internal and external stakeholders.
Desirable:
- Experience in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
