We’re hiring an Electrician to join our clientbased in Cork who’s a well-established industry leader in the food production, operating multiple manufacturing facilities across Ireland and the UK.
Position Overview:
As an onsite Electrician, you’ll join our Maintenance Team at a facility experiencing significant expansion and investment. You’ll work alongside a team of skilled electricians and mechanics to ensure smooth and efficient operations, troubleshoot technical issues, and support the production team in reaching their performance goals. This role provides a fantastic opportunity for career progression, with ongoing training to enhance technical skills and personal development.
Shift Pattern:
This is a 24/7 shift-based role, with rotating day and night shifts (4 days on, 4 days off).
Key Responsibilities:

Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical issues.

Perform electro-mechanical repairs as required.

Provide technical support to production teams to optimize performance.

Monitor line and machine performance, intervening as needed to maintain efficiency.

Collaborate with equipment suppliers on installations, modifications, and new equipment.

Maintain cleanliness and organization in work areas.

Participate fully in cross-skilling training and skill development.

Update and manage the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).

Troubleshoot using PLC programs.

Meet key performance indicators (KPIs) including scheduled maintenance completion and equipment uptime.
What We’re Looking For:

Trade-qualified with a strong mechanical/electrical background.

Diagnostic and troubleshooting experience is preferred.

Computer skills are an advantage; ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Observant, detail-oriented, and proactive in problem-solving.

Multi-skilled or cross-skilled approach with a desire to learn and grow.
