Electrical Engineer

Facilities, Site Services & Packing Manager

This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled Electrical Engineer with a strong background in manufacturing and utilities systems. The role involves a blend of maintenance engineering, project management, and compliance-focused responsibilities, suited to professionals seeking to work in a fast-paced, regulated environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Drive implementation of corrective and preventative actions for electrical systems and equipment maintenance processes.
  • Troubleshoot complex plant equipment issues and control systems, recommending effective corrective measures.
  • Support investigations related to utility systems, control system deviations, and safety incidents.
  • Participate in equipment design reviews, site acceptance testing, and installations.
  • Oversee and manage third-party mechanical, electrical, and automation contractors.
  • Interpret technical documentation such as P&IDs, system layouts, wiring diagrams, and specifications for maintenance planning and execution.
  • Ensure strict adherence to industry regulations, engineering standards, and best practices.
  • Contribute to and manage assigned budgets, including capital expenditure (CAPEX) planning.
  • Design and specify clean and grey utilities, HVAC systems, piping, ducting, and controls, in line with cGMP standards.
  • Manage small to medium-scale engineering projects involving utilities and HVAC systems.
  • Prepare technical evaluations, test plans, and change control documentation to support system modifications.
  • Promote and maintain a safe, clean, and compliant working environment by enforcing engineering and safety protocols

 

Key Performance Indicators

  • Achievement of uptime targets for utilities and packaging equipment.
  • Proactive avoidance of unplanned factory downtime through effective escalation and contingency planning.
  • Delivery of maintenance and repairs within allocated budget.
  • Full compliance with internal and external audits.
  • Progress toward site sustainability goals (e.g., CO₂ emissions and water usage).
  • Continuous improvement initiatives delivered to target.

 

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (or related discipline).
  • Minimum of 4 years’ experience in an electrical engineering role.
  • Previous experience in a manufacturing environment (particularly with utilities or packaging systems) is advantageous.
  • Comfortable working with engineering software and technical systems.
  • Proven project management skills.
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft 365 tools, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams, and SharePoint.
