About the Role

A leading food manufacturer in Edgeworthstown is seeking a Deputy Quality Manager to support the Quality Manager in maintaining and improving site-wide food safety and quality standards. This company is known for its strong culture, employee development, and being a genuinely great place to work.

You’ll play a key role in ensuring compliance with regulatory, customer, and internal standards, while leading the QA team and supporting continuous improvement initiatives across departments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support and maintain QMS, FSMS, HACCP, and GMP systems.
  • Act as site lead during audits and inspections.
  • Lead QA team in the absence of the Quality Manager.
  • Manage internal audits, non-conformance investigations, and customer complaints.
  • Own and manage Pest Control and Cleaning/Hygiene Programs.
  • Work cross-functionally with Production, Engineering, and R&D teams.
  • Lead, train, and support a team of 4 QA Technicians.
  • Promote food safety culture and food defence initiatives.

What You’ll Need

  • Degree in Food Science or related field.
  • 5+ years’ experience in food manufacturing quality roles.
  • Strong knowledge of HACCP, BRCGS, food safety legislation, and retailer standards.
  • Skilled in audits, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills.
