Capital Project Manager – Production

We are excited to announce we are recruiting for a CI project manager for a well known FMCG business in Kilkenny.

This role will manage a multimillion euro spend to improve processes and overall business results. This is a senior role that needs to work well across the whole business, manage across and up to get things done.

We are looking for someone who can complete projects and can work with various ongoing tasks at a fast pace.

This is an exciting opportinty for someone to get great experience in a global domestice market business that is Irish owned, locally managed and the ideal candidate could be part of the future leadership of this business.

 

As the Capital Projects/CI Manager you will need to ensure that key projects are moving at pace in order to meet deadlines. You will work horizontally across Operations, and other Department lines, liaising with key stakeholders to ensure timely delivery of projects. You will execute in tandem with Operations capital projects around CI to drive efficiency and Quality. 

Responsibilities;

  • Project Manage all new Installations on the sites to include Capital Projects and CI Projects.
  • Drive a culture of continuous improvement across the Company in everything we do.
  • Develop a CI Capital Installation implementation plan on a yearly basis.
  • Engage with key stakeholders (Quality, Technical, H&S, Maintenance & Operations) to understand their requirements.
  • Analyse business processes and identify project opportunities, and implement key improvements whilst engaging Key Stakeholders.
  • Complete process reviews to identify bottlenecks and constraints, identify and implement ways to eliminate.
  • Lead and execute process improvement projects e.g. OEE, lead time reduction, waste elimination, following standard project structure and maintaining alignment to site goals.
  • Ensure all improvement activities are aligned and completed with a compliance Focus.
  • Benchmark industry best practice and make recommendations for improvement.
  • Use appropriate lean problem-solving tools to address the root cause of problems engaging relevant staff.

Skills and experience needed;

  • Minimum 2 years relevant experience with strong Engineering/Production background.
  • Has proven track record in Manufacturing industry.
  • Strong Management Systems capabilities.
  • Strong Project Management Skills demonstrated.
