Role Title: Buyer/Stock Controller

Joining our clients’ team as a Buyer/Stock controller, you play a vital role within the team. Seamlessly managing orders from inception to delivery and maintaining optimal store conditions are your core responsibilities. Collaborating closely with Customers’ Purchasing and Engineering teams, exceeding agreed customer metrics is your shared goal.

Training and Procedures:

Customer-provided on-site training, including induction and role-specific guidance, ensures adherence to site procedures. Maintaining current training records is essential for compliance.

Key Accountabilities/Responsibilities:

  • Adhere to Customers’ policies, procedures, and regulatory standards.
  • Complete rigorous site training and stay updated on operational protocols.
  • Engage in routine Tier meetings with staff and the customer.
  • Ensure understanding and adherence to SLA and Quality Agreement standards.
  • Drive strategic supply chain projects aligned with SLAs for enhanced services and cost benefits.
  • Proactively network onsite to identify new business opportunities.
  • Efficiently navigate the customers ERP system, to address customer needs.
  • Attend relevant production meetings as required.
  • Collaborate with Purchasing and Finance for seamless internally related functions.
  • Conduct regular reviews of stocking profiles and implement cost-effective measures.
  • Generate insightful reports and presentations using Excel proficiency.
  • Process procurement requisitions accurately and promptly.
  • Provide expert product advice and support to customers users.
  • Ensure timely updates of all administrative requirements.
  • Uphold company and statutory Health & Safety regulations.
  • Regularly organize and review workload for optimal efficiency.
  • Offer alternative suppliers and products to optimize performance.
  • Consistently monitor, analyze, and report progress.
  • Efficiently handle item reception, verification, labeling, and location updates in both systems.
  • Meet monthly cycle counting targets and report to the on-site finance team.
  • Maintain optimal stock levels through weekly reviews and replenishment orders.
