Role Summary
In this fast-paced and exciting buying role, you will have the opportunity to develop and manage product categories through detailed market and consumer behaviour analysis. Your responsibilities will include sourcing new suppliers, promoting product innovation, and ensuring a high-quality product offering at competitive prices. Working closely with various departments, including Marketing and Social Media, you will play a key part in delivering great value to customers.

What You’ll Do

  • Conduct regular competitor and assortment analysis
  • Taste and perform quality checks with the Quality Assurance team
  • Lead new product development initiatives
  • Negotiate and build relationships with national and international suppliers
  • Collaborate with departments such as Marketing, Social Media, and Promotional Planning to drive product categories
  • Set and review retail prices regularly
  • Manage supplier contracts

What You’ll Need

  • A third-level degree is required
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Business or Food Science knowledge is an advantage
  • Strong communication, analytical, and negotiation skills
  • Confidence, motivation, and ability to work independently
  • Capacity to perform well under pressure
  • Eagerness to learn
  • Full driving licence
  • German language skills are beneficial but not essential
  • Background in Food Science or Supply Chain
  • Previous experience in Food Buying or Manufacturing
