Accounting Analyst

£60k – 90k per year + Bonus + Benefits

The Accounting Analyst is responsible for providing high quality financial information to support management decisions and reporting by accurately analysing financial information to prepare journal entries and completing thorough account reconciliations for Leasing at Element fleet Management. The Accounting Analyst will assist with resolution of any inconsistent and inaccurate information in the general ledger.

Responsibilities:

  • Compile and analyze financial information to prepare general ledger entries on behalf of Leasing
  • Perform statistical analysis to determine trends, estimates, and significant changes to general ledger accounts
  • Resolve inconsistent or inaccurate financial information in preparation of schedules, account reconciliations and reports
  • Prepare schedules and reports for management and/or auditors
  • Attend to local IRE statutory reporting requirements including note development and audit support
  • Perform variance analysis and monitor accuracy of IRE results
  • Issue standalone annual reporting documentation for funding facilities
  • Other duties as assigned, including special projects

Experience:

  • Degree in Business or Accounting
  • 1-2 years relevant work experience ideally performing journal entry posting, account reconciliation and account analysis
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office, with an intermediate knowledge of Excel
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Highly organized, detail oriented and analytical
  • Solves problems, work independently, possesses good judgement, exercises discretion and confidentiality
  • Experience in SAP or similar ERP systems considered an asset
