Transport Planner – Job Summary
My client a leading logisticsfirmare seeking a Transport Planner to add to their growing team. This role will suit someone with 2-3 years experience.
Key Responsibilities:

Plan and adjust daily transport schedules to ensure timely, efficient deliveries

Monitor driver operations, focusing on safety and productivity

Analyse route data to optimise efficiency and reduce costs

Liaise with drivers, warehouse teams, and external partners for smooth coordination

Use Transport Management Systems (TMS) to manage and track fleet performance
-
Ensure full compliance with transport regulations, health & safety standards, and company policies

Resolve any delivery or routing issues promptly

Keep customers informed on delivery timelines and any changes
Requirements:

Degree in Logistics, Transport, Supply Chain, or similar (preferred)
-
CPC qualification or relevant transport certification (an advantage)
-
2–3 years’ experience in a transport planning role

Strong analytical, organisational, and problem-solving skills
-
Confident communicator with solid stakeholder management
-
Proficient in TMS and Microsoft Office
-
Full driving licence (preferred)
