A growing Design & Build contractor is looking for an experienced Site Foreman to join their team and play a key role in managing day-to-day site operations. You will be responsible for supervising and coordinating site works to ensure projects are delivered safely on time, and to the highest quality standards. You will lead site teams, liaise with subcontractors, and support the Site Manager in driving project success from the ground up.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate all trades and activities on-site, ensuring high standards of safety, quality, and productivity.
- Manage day-to-day operations and scheduling of labour, plant, and materials.
- Enforce and monitor adherence to health and safety regulations and site-specific procedures.
- Read and interpret drawings and ensure works are executed in line with project specifications.
- Maintain accurate site records, including daily diaries, progress reports, and material usage.
- Coordinate and communicate effectively with subcontractors, suppliers, engineers, and the Site Manager.
- Participate in site meetings and contribute to planning and problem-solving.
- Lead by example to promote a culture of quality, safety, and teamwork.
Requirements
- 3-4 years of experience in a Foreman or Site Supervisor role, preferably within residential or mixed-use construction.
- Strong working knowledge of construction methodologies, building regulations, and health and safety standards.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and plans.
- Excellent organisational, communication, and leadership skills.
- Proven ability to manage multiple tasks and teams under pressure.
- Trade background (e.g., carpentry, bricklaying) or construction-related qualification is an advantage.
- Valid Safe Pass and Manual Handling Certification. Additional site tickets (e.g., CSCS, First Aid, etc.) are desirable.
