Payroll Specialist

Payroll Specialist (12-month FTC)

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Payroll Specialist to manage and coordinate the monthly payroll processes for a large organisation. This role involves working closely with various internal departments and an outsourced payroll provider to ensure the accurate and timely processing of payroll for all employees. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, excellent communication skills, and a proven track record in payroll management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and oversee the monthly payroll processes for a large workforce, ensuring all payroll amendments (joiners, leavers, overtime, etc.) are accurately processed.
  • Coordinate with internal departments to ensure smooth flow and maintenance of employee data.
  • Generate and review payroll reports, ensuring accuracy and timely submission to the payroll provider.
  • Respond to payroll-related queries and resolve any issues that arise.
  • Administer monthly deductions and payments for benefits such as healthcare, pensions, and travel schemes.
  • Drive improvements to payroll processes and assist with other HR and reporting tasks as needed.

Skills and Expertise:

  • Minimum three years of experience in a similar payroll role.
  • Strong knowledge of payroll systems and proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word).
  • Excellent analytical, organisational, and administration skills.
  • Ability to handle confidential information and meet tight deadlines.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Experience in managing payroll reports, tax filings, and audits is preferred.
  • Knowledge of payroll regulations and changes in laws.

Qualifications:

  • Certification in Payroll Management (IPASS) or equivalent is preferred.
