Maintenance Electrician – Packaging Manufacturer (Wicklow)
Our client, a leading packaging manufacturer, is seeking an experienced Maintenance Electrician to join their team. This is a great opportunity for a skilled professional with electrical/mechanical problem-solving abilities and experience in a fast-paced production environment.
Role Overview:
As a Maintenance Electrician, you will ensure the ongoing maintenance and repair of all equipment, supporting a 24/7 manufacturing process. You will be responsible for installation, planned/unplanned maintenance, and repairs, working closely with the Maintenance Manager to improve facilities and services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform planned maintenance in line with the production schedule.
- Respond to machine breakdowns promptly.
- Maintain accurate records of work and spare parts usage.
- Ensure machines are returned to production safely and hygienically.
- Adhere to health and safety regulations.
- Assist with training and development of staff.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance processes.
- Participate in an on-call roster and work rotational shifts (Week 1: 8am–4pm, Week 2: 4pm–Midnight).
Key Requirements:
- National Craft Certificate or equivalent qualification.
- Strong electrical and mechanical problem-solving skills.
- Experience in a busy production plant.
- Knowledge of regulatory compliance in maintenance operations.
- Flexibility to support out-of-hours work when required.
