The Job:

As a Financial Accountant, you will play a key role in supporting the Supply Chain finance team, reporting directly to the Finance Manager. This is an excellent opportunity for a Qualified Accountant seeking to broaden their experience in a fast-paced commercial setting.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Preparing and closing monthly management accounts and reporting packs within a 5-day close window.
  • Processing monthly journals and reviewing supporting schedules for key General Ledger and Balance Sheet accounts.
  • Conducting overhead variance analysis against budget and prior year figures.
  • Reviewing and presenting Profit & Loss statements and Balance Sheet reconciliations.
  • Filing and reconciling tax returns for PAYE, VAT, and WHT.
  • Managing weekly and monthly payroll, including KPI reporting.
  • Preparing audit files and liaising with auditors.
  • Collaborating with operations to manage budgetary controls
  • Supporting the Finance Manager with ad-hoc project work as required.

Is this you?

We are looking for a commercially aware finance professional with the following:

  • Minimum of 2-3 years post-qualification experience (PQE).
  • Qualified Accountant, ideally trained in a Big 4 /top 10  practice with relevant post qualification experience in industry.
  • Strong organisational, analytical, and communication skills, with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
