Plan your career moves, externally and internally, carefully. Take time out regularly to reflect on what you want from your career and how you are going to get there. Don't be afraid to take risks if you feel it will achieve this career plan and quitting something that clearly isn't working isn't always bad advice.
My Background
Shay is an ACCA qualified professional with 20 years of experience working senior accountancy roles within the industrial and financial services sectors. He worked as an accountant until 1996 when he subsequently left to focus on the recruitment of finance and accountancy professionals. Having been involved in the establishment of some of the most respected financial recruitment brands in the Irish market, Shay subsequently set up Lincoln Recruitment Specialists in 2008. Currently, Shay recruits staff into major industrial corporates and accounting practices and is exclusively retained in several cases. He also holds an MSc in Organisational Management and is a member of BPS, qualified to conduct and interpret psychometric testing as well an EQi testing.
