JOB TITLE: Group Specification Technologist

JOB OVERVIEW:
The Group Specification Technologist is a key member of the Group R&D Team and is primarily responsible for ensuring that all customer specifications are completed accurately and efficiently to meet project and customer deadlines.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Primary Objectives:
- Serve as the main contact for customer specifications at Group level.
- Prepare customer specifications (online & paper) accurately and on time with a right-first-time approach.
- Coordinate customer specification queries/updates across all sites.
- Create QAS and any extra requirements (e.g., artwork, BRC) needed for specs.
- Liaise with all relevant internal teams to gather up-to-date information for spec population.
- Provide support for Product Development and Artwork Coordination when required.
- Undertake other duties within the remit of Group R&D as necessary.
PERSONAL COMPETENCIES AND QUALIFICATIONS:
- Food Science degree or related field.
- Preferably 2 years’ experience in a similar role.
- Accuracy and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Ability to work as part of a cross-functional team.
- Flexibility and adaptability.
- Proficiency in IT.
- Ability to work to tight deadlines and prioritize projects in line with business needs.
- Proactive approach to projects.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
