You are a Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA ,CPA or equivalent). You have gained at least 3-5 years PQE in industry (FMCG / Manufacturing/ Retail / Construction or similar) and are now seeking the next step in your career.
You are experienced at producing monthly management accounts.
In addition, you really enjoy drilling into the numbers, getting to grips with where the figures come from and using them to identify trends, issues and provide valuable information to business managers. You have strong Excel skills, and are good with IT systems.
You love identifying where processes can be improved and driving positive change that benefits the business and the team.
You may be working as a Management Accountant or Senior Accountant or even a Finance Manager in a smaller business. You are keen to take the next step in your career and join a business with exciting growth plans where you can work closely with an energetic and focused Financial Controller and really have an impact on the business direction.
The Role and Company
Our client are a highly successful Irish company, with big plans for continued future growth. Based in Dublin 12, they have an opportunity for a commercially focused finance professional to join their team as a Finance Manager, taking ownership of all aspects of the accounts function for one of their key business units.
As Finance Manager, your role will be varied, including a mix of month end reporting and acting as a finance business partner for department managers.
- Oversee and manage the month-end process, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting to senior management.
- Lead the preparation of budgets, forecasts, and financial plans to ensure the business meets its financial goals.
- Perform in-depth analysis of actual results versus budget/forecast, providing actionable insights to the business.
- Work closely with business managers across various departments, providing financial support, advice, and guidance to improve decision-making.
- Develop and maintain financial models to support strategic projects, scenario planning, and long-term forecasting.
- Play a key role in supporting finance-related aspects of ongoing and upcoming projects within the business.
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance financial reporting and operational efficiencies.
