My client – a global financial institution is seeking to appoint a Senior Credit Officer to join their Dublin city centre office. The business has a focus on corporate lending, asset backed lending and project finance assets. In this role you will be responsible managing the credit department, approving all credit extensions, take charge of risk committee, ensuring all risk portfolios are controlled by appropriate limits. You will also monitor risks such as Market, Liquidity and Operational Risk.

Responsibilities:

  • Establish/enhance appropriate credit policies, internal credit, and quality control monitoring.
  • Analyse all credit applications for approval/rejection.
  • Administer all credit limits and report any excesses to Management.
  • Act as a voting member of the Risk Committee and Credit Committee.
  • Report to the Risk Committee on all aspects of Credit Management and risk portfolio.
  • Review transaction documentation ensuring contents of approval applications match legal documents.
  • Complete the credit review section for monthly Risk Management Committee.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance or Business Administration.
  • CPA, ACA, ACCA, CIMA or CFA qualifications advantageous.
  • 10 years’ experience required, preferably within a financial institution or corporate advisory.
  • Experience of working at an International bank is desirable.
  • Strong working knowledge on transactions from origination through the life of a transaction.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills essential.

The salary range on offer is competitive and negotiable depending on experience.
