My client is an international insurance group based in Dublin City Centre. I’m now recruiting for an experienced Claims Handler to be responsible for a portfolio of claims of all lines of business in supporting their clients’ Corporate and Risk Management teams.

The Job

Typical responsibilities include (but not limited to) the following:

  • Achieve quick and fair settlement of all claims using all possible means to protect the client – lines of business include most commonly EL / PL, motor and marine
  • Provide Insurers with all information necessary to the settlement of claims
  • Arrange up to date claims experience for renewal and claims meetings with clients, and attend meetings as appropriate
  • Keep team leaders / relevant account managers advised of all large and/or contentious claims and any problems

The Person

  • 1-2 years relevant insurance Claims Handling experience
  • Fully Qualified CIP
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
  • Ability to maintain clear lines of communication with various internal and external stakeholders
  • Accuracy with good attention to detail and ability to check work of self and others
  • Flexible and team player – develops close partnerships with onshore and offshore colleague
  • Ability to identify areas to improve efficiency, accuracy and analysis and suggest ways of improvement
