Business Administration & Operational Management will participate in business activities, supporting Senior Managers with BAU & non-BAU activities, cyclical work pieces such as Annual Reporting and short term initiatives. They are located in BAU teams and would report to a Senior Manager and may have direct reports.

This job is not client facing and does not have any portfolios. Those employees fulfilling a Business Administration & Operational Management role are expected to possess some knowledge of financial budgeting, strategic planning, communication, and people management processes in the context of the business area they are located in but are not expected to have specific product knowledge relating to the business or function in which they are located.

The role supports responsibilities and initiatives defined by country of and regional business management, including the following key tasks;

  • Strategy – supports Head of Business Management with execution of Country Strategy agreed with HSS Europe COO and Head of HSS Ireland;
  • Business Management – supports Head of Business Management to deliver country priorities agreed with Head of HSS Ireland and regional priorities agreed with HSS Europe COO and / or regional business management team;
  • Performance – monitors financial performance and coordinates action across HSS functions and Finance; Directly responsible for indirect costs and working with key stakeholders across Global Functions and HOST;
  • Governance – Policy- responsible for policy implementation and maintaining Business Management DIM, where applicable to HSS;
  • Governance – Reporting – responsible for production of country scorecard, performance reporting and First Line of Deference reporting engaging and coordinating across HSS and Global functions as appropriate;
  • Governance – Meetings – responsible for Finance Working Group, International Fund Servicing Working Group;

Experience & Knowledge

  • Demonstrates existing GCB5 level manager experience;
  • Strong experience in the Securities Services industry;
  • Previous role experience that demonstrates financial management competence with understanding of key performance drivers and functions supporting the business;
  • Strong understanding and experience of the risks and regulatory environment facing Securities Services and corresponding risk mitigation strategies;
  • Experience in managing and implementing policies and change initiatives with track record of delivering and challenging how to do things better;
